TEA Party draws 1,500 to Capitol Campus
The Washington State Patrol said about 1,500 people attended Saturday’s TEA Party anti-tax rally on the Capitol Campus.
Organizers of the Taxed Enough Already event had said they expected several thousands of people to attend. State Patrol Sgt. Freddy Williams said the agency estimated about 1,500 people.
The group was protesting the Obama administration’s economic policies, among other things. The rally in Olympia was held in concert with hundreds of others nationwide.
