Pierce County still waiting for more H1N1 vaccine
Swine flu vaccine continued to be in short supply Wednesday in Pierce County.
The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department and many Pierce County medical providers and pharmacies received no new shipments of H1N1 vaccine.
Some social service agencies, such as Women, Infants and Children, are holding clinics for their low-income clients. St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood has scheduled a community immunization clinic for Nov. 10.
The next school-based public clinic tentatively is set for Nov. 7 at Clover Park High School. It will depend on the availability of vaccine. A clinic planned for Bethel High School this Sunday was canceled for lack of vaccine.
