Tacoma Mayor Marilyn Strickland will appear on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday.
Strickland will appear with Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett and Pittsburgh Mayor William Peduto, according to a news release from the city of Tacoma. The topic: “the attributes of local government.”
“Tacoma is going through an incredibly transformative time. We’ve evolved from a polluted industrial town to a diverse, international port city and leader in environmental stewardship.” said Strickland in the press release. “I am pleased to share our story with a national audience.”
Sunday will also mark the debut of the show’s new host, Chuck Todd.
Never miss a local story.
Strickland has appeared on national television before. She made comments in January on PBS NewsHour after the president’s State of the Union address.
The show will air Sunday at 6 a.m. on KING and 10 a.m. on KONG.
