Industrial Appeals Judge Dominique Jinhong said Friday she will run for a spot on the Pierce County Superior Court bench.
She plans a bid to replace Judge Vicki Hogan, who has said she will not seek reelection.
Jinhong is also a supervisor of the Crystal Judson Family Justice Center’s pro bono family law program, which provides free legal services for survivors of domestic violence.
She served in the U.S. Army Reserves legal branch as a captain and also worked as a deputy prosecutor in both Pierce and Thurston counties.

Jinhong is president of the Association of Industrial Appeals Judges, serves on the Supreme Court Practice of Law Board of Directors, the QLaw Foundation Board, the Tacoma Rainbow Center Board, and is a liaison to the Washington State Bar Association’s Board of Governors.
She is also a founder of the free legal clinic at the Rainbow Center.
Jinhong lives in Fircrest with her family, where she chairs the Civil Service Commission.
