Due to the shortage of rainfall and the low snowpack, Tacoma Water has asked users to voluntarily reduce their consumption by not watering their lawns. Yet, many lawns in the area are still lush and green, and they appear to be watered on a daily basis.
Those of us who have complied with that request find it difficult to understand how some people can blatantly continue to use so much needed water on their lawns. Maybe it’s time to ban lawn watering and fine those who do, until this drought ends. Many people don’t seem to get the message unless it hits them in the wallet.
