Re: “Puyallup homeless center might have to spend big to meet new city rules” (TNT 9/28).
It was fascinating to read the requirements proposed by the Puyallup City Council on the New Hope Resource Center if they want to stay open. Our Council doesn’t see that New Hope’s problems are really the problems for the Puyallup City Council. Instead of doing their job, the council criticizes the only outfit helping.
Homeless people are residents of Puyallup, so council members, they are your problem. Your effort to shove it off on the New Hope Resource Center is pitiful. Citizens, we need a council that is able to do worthwhile work. The present council loves one another so much that they don’t get anything worthwhile done. We need to send these people away so that they can love one another, and elect people who are willing to address and solve Puyallup’s problems.
