The Legislature and Supreme Court are a joke at my (taxpayer) expense: $67 million fines for unfunded schools, plus expenses for two special sessions.
The solutions are easy for us from the private sector: If you don’t work, you don’t eat. They can pay all of their own daily expenses until the work is done.
The McCleary fines are a farce. Right pocket into left pocket. If the teachers union is involved in the stalemate over salaries, then all the fines come out of their collective pension plans.

My pension plan lost real money in the 2000 and 2008 market crash; I doubt theirs did. If it affects their pocketbook, I’ll bet the work gets done, toot sweet.
