Re: "White woman embraces life as a sangoma" (TNT, 1-22).
I read with delight the article about Nancy Rebecca and her calling to be a sangoma (a traditional Zulu healer). As a friend and mentee of Nancy's I can attest to the loving and healing qualities she brings to her life and her work.
Each person is called to live their truth and act on their gifts, but not everyone has the courage to do so. To answer the call, as Nancy did, takes great courage and fortitude. In this type of work, spiritual work, there is no road map. Instead there is trust that the still, small voice of Spirit will guide one in the right direction.
To be a spiritual leader in our world is to trust that voice of Spirit, and act on it.
