What happens when kids are not assessed and taught using the standard employers use? They don't get jobs. Employers now are requiring more testing and certifications to get the jobs that once had no standard.
To get hired as electricians, plumbers and in other jobs, standardized testing is required. I had to pass a standardized test to be eligible for my teaching certificate more than 20 years ago. A car mechanic is required to pass a certification test to work as a mechanic.
People against testing should know that they are saying a kid attending McCarver Elementary is dumber than a kid attending Browns Point Elementary based on their idea that certain kids are incapable of things when they are not any different. Each has to achieve the same standard to be employable in an international, global market.
