I would remind people what it was like before vaccinations. Both sets of my grandparents produced a total of 14 children in the early 1900s; only seven survived childhood. That's a 50 percent survival rate from two families. My father remembered watching one brother choke to death from whooping cough.
I almost died from strep throat before penicillin at age 5 but survived that and other childhood illnesses. I had three children of my own down with measles at the same time before measles shots were available. No fun.
Wake up, people. Immunizations are a blessing; value them and take advantage of them.
