The City of Tacoma is the perfect place to show children how to recognize poor leaders and elect new ones.
We have a mayor who wants us to agree to increased taxes so the streets can be taken care of, and she wanted us to pay $50 to hear her say it. Now we have leaders who want to increase our power and water rates.
Why is it only the citizens of Tacoma who pay to have the potholes fixed? People in Parkland and Spanaway drive on Tacoma streets. Why don't they have to pay?
I for one think this is the perfect example on why we should vote every election. Teach your kids to vote too. Find out the names of the leaders who are not doing what you expected them to do and vote them out of office.
I am tired of the city telling me it is taking more of our money. Let's get the correct people into office who will look out for us. Vote, and see the great changes we can make.
