Your editorial on the minimum wage uses unfortunate language in referring to the 15 Now Tacoma committee, calling them “radicals” and comparing them to Mao Zedong.
This is not discourse, this is mudslinging. This is a way of cutting off debate, not encouraging it. They deserve a fair hearing, and we need to hear their analysis.
I can understand why operations whose business model is based on substandard wages would object to a high minimum, but what about those trying to raise families on poverty wages?
