As a certified medical assistant and student at Pierce College, I am outraged about the effort to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour.
I have paid good money for an education to be able to get a higher-paying job. I don't think it's logical that someone who hasn't gone to college would be getting paid only $1 less per hour than I am.
How will the minimum wage increase affect the workers who went to school to get paid more than minimum wage? Will they see an increase in their salaries? What will happen in the future? More people won't find it important to further their education when $15 is just handed to them.
