As a Puyallup graduate, parent, teacher and administrative intern, I am proud of our community and our schools. I believe that successful students need strong communities and excellent schools. That is why I support the school district's bond measure and will be voting "yes" on Nov. 3.
This bond will provide for five building projects at the elementary level and is an appropriate response to the enrollment crisis that our schools are facing. For $5 a month for every $250,000 of assessed oroperty value, we can provide adequate teaching and learning spaces for our students. This will also provide many jobs in our community, which in turn benefits the greater economy.
We need to step up and support our students, teachers and local economy by voting "yes."
