It wouldn’t pay much to bail out individuals
CommentsA letter writer (TNT, 11-30) suggested that the $800 billion bailout now being considered should be given to taxpaying citizens, and that this would amount to $2 million per taxpayer.
If that were true, I would be all for the idea. However, the amount would be about $2,300 per person, not $2 million.
Let’s hope the country (we taxpayers) get a reasonable return on our investment in the bailouts.
