I am terribly upset by the television ads by a number of candidates. Not only are the ads degrading, they are useless in giving information about positions on important issues. The negative ads are in no way helpful to the average voter in making choices.
I turn on my television as little as possible in order to avoid the repetitive ads being broadcast. Many of my friends feel the same way. In addition to that, the amount of money being spent is unforgivable. I would suggest that instead of the negative campaign ads, candidates call a truce and give the funds to the local food banks that are in dire need at this time.
