Key Pen Parks on Thursday will hold the first of a series of three public meetings on the development of a master plan for Gateway Park.
The public meeting will run 6:30-8 p.m. at Minter Creek Elementary School, 12617 118th Ave. NW, Key Peninsula.
The purpose of the meetings is to gather the community’s input on what improvements they would like to see implemented at Gateway Park, said Scott Gallacher, executive director of the park district.
The district has contracted with Robert Droll, a landscape architect firm specializing in park design, to facilitate the discussion. The firm will develop drawings, cost estimates, a development plan and other recommendations while incorporating the public’s comments and Key Pen Park’s planning needs for Gateway Park.
The park land is along state Route 302, not far from the Purdy Bridge.
