Gov. Jay Inslee’s proposed 2015-17 budget would leave two Pierce County outdoor projects without grant funding, but the Foothills Trail completion would make the cut, the Washington Wildlife Coalition has announced.
The budget gives the program $70 million instead of the $97 million the WWC had requested for outdoor recreation grants.
Via email Thursday, coalition spokeswoman Frances Chiem said the Point Defiance Loop Trail and Carbon River Valley expansion projects would not be funded.
Four projects would be funded:
