  • VIDEO: Auburn man starts 1000-mile walk on 80th birthday

On Jan. 4, 2016, Don Stevenson of Auburn celebrated his 80th Birthday by starting a 1,000-mile walk to benefit the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. Last year he walked from Auburn to Maryland for the PHA. This time he is pushing a walker and carrying oxygen because that's what many people with PH must do. He plans to walk 20-30 miles per day, most of it in Auburn's Game Farm Park. He expects to finish in mid-March. Several friends and fans met Jan. 4 at Zion Lutheran Church in Auburn for the start of the walk.
