Packwood Mountain Festival
WHAT: This annual event celebrates mountain culture, heritage, crafts and customs, including Native American heritage. The history of Packwood and the surrounding area will be featured. The 14th annual event is presented by the White Pass Country Historical Society and Museum.
WHEN: April 29-May 1.
WHERE: Packwood, Washington.

ACTIVITIES: There will be live music, arts and crafts and exhibits. There also will be crafts and games for children.
FUN RUN: There will be a 10K and 5K fun run held the morning of May 1, followed by a 1K kids’ run.
NATIVE CULTURE: In addition to displays from area tribes, there will be a drumming ceremony on May 1.
ABOUT THE MUSEUM: The museum’s collection includes historical documents, artifacts and photos. The displays depict life in the area from the underwater town of Kosmos to the top of 4,500-foot White Pass. Admission to the museum is $2 for adults, $1 for children and free for kids 5 and younger. It is located at 12990 U.S. Highway 12, Packwood.
