Kitsap Harbor Festival
WHAT: The eighth annual festival marks the opening of the summer boating season on the Kitsap Peninsula.
WHEN: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. May 28 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. May 29.
WHERE: On the Bremerton Boardwalk and Bremerton Marina, 100 Washington Beach Blvd., Bremerton.

VINTAGE SHIPS: While at the festival, you can visit a number of vintage ships. They include the Dominion, one three Miki-class tugboats believed to still exist. The tug Galene is one of four operational tugs built for the Army in 1943 by a Quincy, Massachusetts, boatyard. El Primero was a steam yacht built in 1893. The Comanche was one of 89 ATA tugs built by the end of World War II.
KID’S ZONE: The children’s area will have a new focus this year, with a variety of booths for children to do hands-on science, technology, engineering and math activities.
OTHER EVENTS: Divers from Venture Crew 1517 will bring up marine life and hold them in touch tanks. A number of bands will perform on the main stage. There will be more than 50 booths with food, crafts and other items for sale.
