Eatonville Arts Festival
What: More than 100 artists are expected to take part in the 45th annual arts festival. In addition, the festival includes a live and silent auction, live entertainment, food and a beer garden. Proceeds from the event help the Eatonville Lions Club with its programs.
When: Aug. 5-7.
Where: Events are taking place in Glacier Park, 213 Fir St., Eatonville.

The artists: Participants will be coming from across the United States. They will display works such as paintings, photography, cement art, forged sculptures, Native American art, jewelry, wearable fiber art, puppets and toys, hand-painted glass and garden features. Among the artists will be Fred Oldfield, the 97-year-old painter who has attended every art festival in Eatonville; local residents Lisa Rasmussen and Linda Malcom Rosenow; Ocean Shores pastel artist Jerri Sharder; and Shelton jewelry maker Bonnie Smith.
Other attractions: A quick-draw competition will take place at 5 p.m. Aug. 5-6. Food booths will open at 7 a.m. all three days. Artisan booths will be open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. (or dusk) Aug. 5-6 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Aug. 7. The beer garden will open at 11 a.m. each day.
