These are not people looking to get a quick high. These are people wanting only to relieve themselves from their pain. The state Legislature should do right by these patients, and also city governments, to clear up the ambiguity of E2SSB 5073. The law, as its written now, makes no sense and does no one any good.

The state Legislature could use a few Angry Birds to clear the way for the budget. Its taken a full 60-day session and a 30-day special session, and were hearing threats of another session, a third overtime period that lawmakers clearly saw coming last winter, when they scheduled a session in December to try to hash out whats become an annual problem.
