The skinny: Moore missed his first cut of 2015 at The Players Championship last week (1-over-par 145). He bogeyed the final two holes of the second round to make an early exit. This should be a different week altogether. The Cascade Christian product has had great success in North Carolina, winning his first PGA Tour tournament there, at the Wyndham Championship in 2009. And he loves Quail Hollow — he hasn’t finished outside the top 18 in his past three appearances, including tying for sixth in 2013 and tying for fifth in 2012. … After making five consecutive tournament cuts into early April, Michael Putnam has hit a rough patch by missing the cut in his past three tournaments, including The Players Championship (1-over 145). He has cashed at the Wells Fargo in all three of his previous appearances (2007, 2011, 2014), including tying for 60th last season. … After a sizzling start, Gonzales has sputtered over the past three months with three missed cuts and four finishes of 60th or worse — including a tied-for-70th finish at his most recent tournament, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans (even-par 288) on April 26. He has never made the cut at the Wells Fargo. … When Andrew Putnam avoids shooting 75 or higher, he usually rolls through a tournament. But he has recorded a score at least that high eight times in his past six tournaments, including a 77 at the Zurich Classic on his way to missing his seventh cut of the season.
