Junior defensive tackle Erick Lobos limped off the practice field Thursday with an injury to the same foot that sidelined him last spring. UW was awaiting X-ray results Friday.
Quarterback Isaiah Stanback also sat out Thursday and was limited Friday due to what was considered a minor shoulder injury.
Otherwise the big news is that the Huskies will scrimmage Saturday with more than 100 former players watching.
"(Saturday) will be a key day for us," coach Tyrone Willingham said. "Anytime you have an opportunity to have your former players back … to me it's an exciting time, and it says great things about your program. I've always said that the strength of our program will be out past, because that's really what you build on, and we really have a great past to build on. When our current players have an opportunity to be around that, it just energizes you."
Never miss a local story.
Stanback's status for the scrimmage wasn't certain.
As usual, the practice will be closed to the general public, but for the second time this spring, Willingham will allow the media to watch.
