Junior receiver Cody Ellis returned to practice Tuesday for the first time since suffering a shoulder injury while diving for a pass in fall camp.
He said he feels fine and expects to play Saturday.
"It seems like it's been about a year, like I haven't played football forever," Ellis said. "It could have been a lot worse. I'm trying to stay positive about it. I could look at it and say I've lost three games of my junior year, but I'm looking at it like I still get nine games. It couldn't be a better time to get back at it: fresh legs and UCLA."
Ellis has nine receptions for a 17.7-yard average and one touchdown in his first two seasons as a Husky.

Before that he was a News Tribune all-state pick at Puyallup High School.
