Very little news on Tuesday, but there should be some Wednesday. That's when fall classes begin at UW, and that's when Coach Willingham will release his official roster, which will clarify the status of players who have been missing due to academics and other issues. None of it is likely to matter for this season, but check back tomorrow if you have an interest in that.
A few other notes:
Our Wednesday morning story will be on why UW doesn't plan to go to the spread as their base offense, even though it seems to work well for them.
Also, tight end Michael Gottlieb, who played about a dozen snaps against UCLA as a blocker, says he expects to play more and to be ready to catch passes against Arizona. However, depth at tight end remains thin enough that Johnie Kirton is no longer available as a short-yardage back.
Never miss a local story.
Offensive coordinator Tim Lappano said Jordan White-Frisbee is showing potential in his switch from defensive tackle to offense tackle. However, he remains off the depth chart while his injured foot remains less than 100 percent.
