The Huskies -- and the media covering them –- have arrived in Los Angeles.
Coach Willingham said that he was going to have his team take a light walk-through practice at the LA Coliseum tonight ... not so much for the field, but for the locker rooms. The visitor's locker rooms at the Coliseum are small and noisy and a fair walk from the field. They're no treat for the players, and they're just torture for sportswriters after the game because there is hardly room to turn around, and the band blares outside making our tape recorders pretty much worthless.
(It'll be interesting to see if the Huskies actually make it there tonight. I remember other teams that I have covered planning to go walk-through at the Coliseum, getting stuck in that notorious LA traffic, and throwing in the towel and just heading to the hotel instead.)
On a brighter note, the weather for Saturday should be just about perfect: partly cloudy with a nigh of 68 degrees.
