Mike Riley may have made something simple a little too complicated. With all going well at the quarter break, he inserted redshirt freshman Sean Canfield, who threw an interception into the arms of Scott White, and for now at least, that turned the game.
Since that play, the Huskies went on a 14-0 run, and are up by a touchdown at the half.
UW's main second half challenge will be stopping OSU tailback Yvenson Bernard, who has over 100 rushing yards, many of them after first-contact.
At the half, OSU leads in first downs, 11-7; rushing yards, 121-70; and total yards, 188-179. UW leads in passing yards, 109-67; and most importantly in turnovers, 2-0. (Matt Moore came back into the game after two series and threw his own interception to White.)
