I'm at the stadium. I'm about a half hour earlier than usual, but that was by far the least traffic I've hit this season. It will be interesting if the crowd is down, too. It's a big game for the Huskies, but the feeling among fans seems a little deflated this week. And, of course, Stanford is hardly a big draw these days. And, as you may have noticed, it's not an especially promising day weather-wise.
I'll keep you up with pregame developments. The most interesting right now is figuring out exactly who will be introduced as a senior today for Senior Day. The "honor" seems to have become a messy controversy because of the inclusion of fourth-year juniors such as Michael Braunstein, who apparently do not conceed that their playing careers are about to end.
Then, once the game begins, I'll try to add a little more detail to my quarterly reports, since this game isn't on television.
10:30: Uh oh. The Huskies are now walking across the field to the locker room. The problem is that they are about 15 minutes ahead of the schedule given for fans planning to attend the "Husky Walk" into the stadium.
Never miss a local story.
12:30: Voted by their teammates as captains for Senior day and for the season are Dashon Goldson, Sonny Shackelford, C.J. Wallace and Isaiah Stanback.
(Braunstein was not introduced among the seniors.)
