After the game, the Huskies were willing to admit that their loss to Oregon State made their NCAA tournament at-large chances so difficult that their best chance -- and perhaps only chance – may now be in winning the Pac-10 tournament.
COACH LORENZO ROMAR: "I think with this loss, it makes it real tough to get an at-large."
FRESHMAN QUINCY PONDEXTER: "I think we can get be a tournament team. I have faith. I came to Washington to win a national championship. I have hope."
Never miss a local story.
CAPTAIN JON BROCKMAN: "These three (remaining regular season) games, they're all opponents that will be in the tournament (Oregon, USC and UCLA). If we come out and perform well in these three games and then perform well in the Pac-10 tournament there's still a little chance there. It's just going to be a lot harder, a lot more difficult."
FRESHMAN SPENCER HAWES
"(The Pac-10 tournament) is our most realistic shot. It's still one game at a time and try to win out from here."
