Tacoma's own Isaiah Thomas has been included among 50 preseason candidates for the 2009-10 John R. Wooden Award All-American Team and Player of the Year trophy.
Thomas, who played at Curtis High School before moving to the Kent prep school in Connecticut, will be a sophomore at the University of Washington.
"I'm really honored," Thomas said through a UW press release. "This is a blessing from God to be on such a list with 50 of the best college players in the nation."
