A couple of things. Ruiz filled in for me Tuesday at practice, and said the only bit of news was that DT De'Shon Matthews practiced for a second consecutive day. I'll be back out there today:
ARIZONA: And the merry-go-round continues at quarterback. Next stop – Foles.
ARIZONA STATE: Sun Devils next up on taking on a powerhouse in non-conference tilt. And they better now screw up the conference's growing reputation on playing with anybody, anywhere.
CALIFORNIA: Holders of the league's highest national ranking, its premier Heisman candidate and now that USC has a loss, the Bears know they are the ones being stalked.
Never miss a local story.
OREGON: Young offensive line will get first real test since Boise State game to measure growth.
OREGON STATE: Former Orting star Joe Halahuni is exciting coaches, but can't seem to stay healthy.
STANFORD: For those who haven't seen the speedy Owusu, he's the one streaking to the end zone on kickoffs. The Cardinal has shown a knack for scoring on returns.
UCLA: Bruins are off this week, meaning Prince should only miss one more game with a broken jaw.
USC: Barkley says the shoulder pain is tolerable, and he should be ready to start against WSU on Saturday.
WASHINGTON STATE: Wow, a bit of good news, especially for Cougars season-ticketholders. Phase III of the remodel is a "go," and that will include all the high-end amenities such as luxury boxes and a pure-gold $1 million shrine to Mike Price (kidding about that one). In any case, since WSU is going to find the going tough the rest of the year, fans can look forward to 2010 and beyond with a smile.
