The Pac-10 resumes its weekly basketball coaches' conference call this morning, so we should have some league-wide news later today. And this is also news-conference day for the Huskies, so there should be some updates from there, too, this afternoon.
Meanwhile, here are a couple of resources for looking ahead to the Huskies' Friday visit to Arizona State.
Here's the ASU's men's basketball site.
According to that story, here are some items on the ASU to-do list:
• Restore confidence. The Sun Devils felt they had to get off to a fast start to contend in the Pac-10. Instead, they started 0-2 for the first time since Sendek's first season.
• Find the real Derek Glasser. The senior point guard shot 5 of 18 over the weekend, collecting four assists and three turnovers. At times, Sendek had no choice but to keep Glasser on the bench.
• Make sure Abbott's healthy. Abbott tweaked the same knee he had surgically repaired in October. He insisted it was fine, but there was no mistaking his limp as he left the Galen Center.
• Finally, figure out some way to score. USC's aggressive man defense took away the Sun Devils' perimeter shooting, and its frontline contested or blocked nearly everything that stemmed from the lane.
