That's the question coach Lorenzo Romar discusses in today's News Tribune.
And while his answer (yes) isn't surprising, one of the paths to improvement might be. In addition to looking for more outside shooting success from Elston Turner and Scott Suggs, and more scoring and distribution from Abdul Gaddy, Romar also suggested that redshirt fresman big-man Tyreese Breshers could yet have the kind of team-turning impact that Mike Garrity's arrival showered on USC.
Here's the full quote:
“To me, Tyreese Breshers is almost like a guy like Mike Gerrity for USC. They didn’t have him the entire first part of the year, but now he becomes eligible and it changes their team. (Breshers is) almost like a guy that’s not eligible right now, in that he’s finding his way. There’s going to come a point in time – and I hope it’s soon – all of a sudden he provides that low-post presence.”
