When the Huskies fell out of the national rankings last week, they fell way out. So far out that not only didn't an overwhelming sweep of the Bay schools get them back in the rankings, it didn't even get them a single vote from media of coaches.
In fact, the whole conference hardly merited a vote.
Arizona State got three points in the AP poll, while getting 15 from the coaches. And Cal -- despite Saturday's result at Hec Ed -- picked up one coaches' vote, too.
As for the Huskies absence, that's no surprise. I think they'll need pull off a road sweep in LA this week to start getting back in the voters' good graces. The surprise, however, was UW somehow mauling Stanford and Cal ... and falling a couple of places in Joe Lunardi's Bracketology. Last week he had them the No. 5 team out. This week, they are seventh in line.
