Announcing the signing of 7-footer Aziz N'Diaye tonight, coach Lorenzo Romar would only say that this completes the two-man class for now, and that you never know.
However, when asked directly if anyone currently on the roster is expected to leave the program, Romar didn't answer directly, saying only that this is a night to discuss N'Diaye.
And that, Romar did with enthusiasm, saying that this is an athletic big man who won't slow the Huskies down a bit. He said N'Diaye prides himself on defense and has quick feet that allow him to cover ground enough to block some shots and alter others.
He implied there would be no trouble with N'Diaye's grades and said he will be a great teammate.
Romar admitted that the ACL injury isn't yet 100 percent, but that N'Diaye already is running the floor and his availability shouldn't be delayed. He also said he could share the floor with current big men Matthew Bryan-Amaning or Tyreese Breshers. And Romar added that this is the best corps of athletic big men he's ever had at UW.
