Most pundits figured Donald Buter was bound to be taken in the NFL Draft on Friday – and he was at No. 79 by the San Diego Chargers.
But Daniel Te'o-Nesheim, an all-Pac-10 defensive end and Butler's UW teammate? Nobody was certain.
The Huskies celebrated twice Friday as Te'o-Nesheim was selected 86th by Philadelphia.
The Eagles were reportedly one of the few teams Te'o-Nesheim visited earlier this month.
"He was a career sack leader in the Pac-10, so he can rush the passer," Eagles coach Andy Reid told ESPN after the pick. "I love his motor."
The Hawaii product has been hanging out at UW spring camp the past 10 days.;
