Jermaine Kearse and friends – his blocking receiving mates – helped turn in two big scoring plays as the Huskies have built a big lead.
On the UW's first play from scrimmage in the second half, Jake Locker through a pick play in the left flat to Kearse. Devin Aguilar set a block, and the Lakes High product broke free from Marquis Spruill and Max Suter en route to a 57-yard touchdown just 20 seconds into the quarter.
Aguilar and D'Andre Goodwin pasted a couple of Syracuse defenders midway through the quarter, and Kearse ran by Phillip Thomas for a 28-yard scoring catch-and-run play at the 6:20 mark.
UW linebacker Mason Foster went out at the 5:34 mark with leg cramping.
