ASU put together an impressive 14-play, 90-yard drive that ate up 4:43 – capped by Steven Threet's 4-yard touchdown pass to Gerell Robinson, who beat safety Nate Williams and made a nice adjustment to the ball in the right corner of the end zone for a 7-0 Sun Devils lead with 6:32 remaining.
Jesse Callier took the ensuring kickoff 51 yards, to the Sun Devils' 41-yard line. The return was a season-long for the Huskies.
Two Jake Locker third-down conversion passes to Jermaine Kearse (8 yards) and D'Andre Goodwin (14 yards) kept the UW's drive alive. In fact, Locker's 14-yarder to Goodwin in the middle of the field split two defenders, and took the ball to the ASU 2.
Locker faked the handoff to Chris Polk coming on the end-around, and called his own number. A second effort got him the end zone, and the UW tied it at 7-7 at the 1:59 mark.
The Sun Devils hit on a 40-yard pass play on the first play of their next drive (Threet to Mike Willie), setting up Threet's 1-yard scoring dive, putting ASU back on top, 14-7, with 1 second to go.
