A Thomas Weber 22-yard field goal finally thwarted a Huskies comeback, lifting the Sun Devils to their seventh consecutive win over the UW.
Weber's boot with 6:32 to go gave ASU a 24-14 lead.
Needing to score quickly – and twice – the UW went for it on fourth-and-10 from its own 34-yard line with 5:40 to go. Jake Locker's pass was tipped at the line of scrimmage, and fell incomplete.
The UW capped a long drive 38 seconds into the final quarter with Locker's 15-yard touchdown pass to D'Andre Goodwin on fourth-and-2 to cut ASU's lead to 21-14.
Cort Dennison picked off Steven Threet on ASU's first drive of the fourth quarter, but the Huskies went three-and-out on their next drive.
