Washington's sweep of the LA schools may have been the most eye-catching event of the Pac-10's first week (as indicated by the post below).
But yesterday coach Lorenzo Romar was asked what else got his attention:
"Oregon State was impressive, obviously being 2-0," he said. "I don’t think we can read into Washington State going 0-2 at all. No. 1, they played against two really good teams – maybe the toughest road trip for them in the league. And two, they were gone 14 days or something like that with a lot of travel. ... I think that was just tough—and that’s not to take anything away from the LA schools, because they’re good. We could easily have gone 0-2 ourselves. I don’t think we can read into (WSU) going 0-2 and us saying, ‘Oh, they’re not as good as we thought.’ They’ve very good."
