Washington is on a rare four-day trip, having played Thursday at Stanford and not getting back into action until Sunday night at Cal. Coach Lorenzo Romar has a theory that the extra day makes things especially tough on the visiting team, and a small sample from last season backs him up: road teams went 0-3 on the second game of Thursday-Sunday trips.
The Huskies are going though a walk-through at Haas Pavilion today, which isn't open to the media. Then Romar says they're try to pass some of the extra hours with some fun: "It’s not going to be anything extravagant. We’re not going to go to a big (amusement) park or something like that. Just something fun for the guys. It might be as simple as a movie."
He said the Huskies also will likely watch the Seahawks-at-Bears playoff game on TV at 10 a.m. Sunday.
The Huskies and (Golden) Bears tip off at 7 p.m. Sunday.
