Like everyone else, Howland listed three candidates ... but not the usual three. Howland listed UW's Isaiah Thomas and Arizona's Derrick Williams ... no surprise there. However, he also listed UW forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning.
"It would be one of those three guys at this point if I had to vote," Howland said.
When asked specifically about the other candidate normally listed -- WSU's Klay Thompson -- Howland merely cited him as "having a great year," and then went on to say that he almost always casts his player of the year vote from someone on the league championship team.
