Never miss a local story.

Says he'll be comfortable in a North Carolina environment with everyone against them. ... Estimates the team has watched Thomas' game-winning shot from yesterday "at least 10 times."
UW-GEORGIA: Washington a No. 7 seed in the East facing No. 10 Georgia on Friday in Charlotte. The winner would line up with No. 2 North Carolina in the second round on Saturday.
The two schools have never met in basketball.
Top seeds: A large crowd is jamming Don James Center at Husky Stadium, watching the Selection Show, where Ohio State has just been named the top overall seed and placed in the East.
Kansas (Southwest) got the second top seed, Pitt the third (Southeast) and Duke fourth -- No. 1 in the West.
Naturally, we'll pop back in with the Washington seeding, opponent and location as soon as we get it.
