The Huskies 32-game home winning streak against nonconference teams has been snapped. But they lost something more than that in a disappointing showing against a good South Dakota State squad - any hope of an at-large NCAA bid seems to be minute.
Washington would need to post a ridiculous Pac-12 record to even get at-large consideration and nothing we've seen from this team says that will happen.
Defensively, Washington was atrocious. They failed to get hands up on shooters and the rotation was poor.
South Dakota State jumped out early in the first half, storming to an early lead and never looked back. At one point in the first half, SDSU was 10-14 from the field and 7-of-7 from 3-point range. The Jackrabbits finished the game 28-of-51 from the field (54.9%) and 10-of-16 (62.5%) from 3-point range.
Standout guard Nate Wolters carved up UW for 34 points, seven assists and five rebounds.
