The Huskies now have to wait and hope that they can still make the NCAA title. Defensive breakdowns, poor rebounding and missed free throws hurt them in a first-round loss to Oregon State. And it may have killed their NCAA tournament hopes.
Tony Wroten missed four free throws down the stretch. But its important to remember that Wroten was 9-of-15 from the line, while the rest of the team was 3-11 from the foul line. That includes two 1-for-3 showings from C.J. Wilcox and Terrence Ross. Wilcox even missed the front end of a one and one.
Oregon State was only marginally better at the end as Jared Cunningham missed three of four free throws.
In the final 31 seconds, the two teams combined to miss 10 free throws
