It was a pretty quiet Tuesday practice. It was full pads and perhaps the biggest thing for the Huskies is that nobody expected to play on Saturday missed practice or was injured.
Sophomore wide receiver DiAndre Campbell was wearing a yellow no contact jersey. He was supposedly mildly injured in Friday's mock game, but we don't know what happened.
One player not in the yellow no-contact jersey was wide receiver Kevin Smith. The junior wide receiver practiced fully with no restrictions. It means there's a good chance we will see him get some snaps on Saturday, which will be a big help for relatively inexperienced receiving corps.
In terms of two-deeps, Will Shamburger took first team reps at free safety, while Justin Glenn played with the second team. Expect both to play on Saturday.
Never miss a local story.
Defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox said that back-up cornerbacks Greg Ducre and Marcus Peters will see snaps on Saturday as well.
Wilcox said he will be on the sidelines for Saturday's game. He said he's been in the booth and on the field, and it boils down to the coaching staff. But he made it sound like he preferred to be on the field.
