There wasn't a whole lot going on at practice, well, except for the live tiger there being there to watch practice. It was business as usual for the Huskies. In fact, the coaches were very intense and animated. Things even got a little chippy on the field when linebacker Travis Feeney and Psalm Wooching got into a pretty angry tussle following a play. It took several players to break them up.
From a personnel standpoint, everyone that was supposed to practice did.
Ben Riva was there with his arm in a sling. Jesse Callier was on crutches. Princeton Fuimaono was in a yellow no-contact jersey after suffering a concussion in the Saturday's game.
Mike Criste and Erik Kohler took first-team reps at right tackle with the No. 1 offense.
Never miss a local story.
Sankey took the bulk of snaps with No. 1 offense, while Erich Wilson II got some reps and Willis Wilson a few.
Washington also worked on its heavy defensive personnel package featuring a five-man defensive line withSemisi Tokolahi playing in the middle with Danny Shelton. Thomas Tutogi worked is also in at linebacker with John Timu in that personnel group
As for people clamoring for Shaq Thompson to play some running back. He did not take a single snap at practice. And even did extra work with safeties after practice.
