Practice was a little bit of a letdown since there was no Bengal tiger at practice. I mean, where do you go from there. But there was some entertainment with coaches and players bringing a slightly chippy attitude. There was on-field tussles, lots of jawing between offense and defense and even defense and defense.
Coaches were also not letting little mistakes slide - knowing that little mistakes could lead to big mistakes against LSU.
From a personnel standpoint, linebacker Princeton Fuiamono was a full go at practice and was quite active after having to wear the yellow no-contact jersey on Tuesday.
UW showed a lot of of its "jumbo" personnel package, which is different from the "heavy" personnel group. Heavy features just one extra defensive lineman - Semisi Tokohahi. But in the "heavy," UW adds Tokolahi and Lawrence Lagafuina. They play on either side of nose tackle Danny Shelton to combined for over 1,000 pounds up the middle. Josh Shirley and Andrew Hudson serve as the defensive ends in that look with John Timu and Thomas Tutogi at linebacker.
On the offensive line, Mike Criste and Erik Kohler continued to split even reps at right tackle.
Wide receiver Antavius Sims was not dressed out for practice, no word on any injury. Running back Ryan McDaniel (knee) wore full pads but didn't participate in team drills.
Cornerback Greg Ducre suffered some sort of mild injury midway through practice and did not return. But it didn't seem serious.
